More SF X Tekken Info!
Adriasang just posted a cool article talking with Yoshinori Ono about the recently-announced Crossover Fighters. Check it out here.
As elated as we’re all feeling though, I guess we all have to realize that this bit of Comicon teasing is probably all we’re gonna get for a while. Apparently both games are very early in the development cycle, and according to Ono the release of the Capcom-produced game may be as far as 2 years away(!), with him thinking that his game will come out earlier than Harada’s.
On the other hand, it’s great that each company is giving the other free reign over the development, so I am hoping that the Tekken vs Streetfighter title has good stuff like Character Customizations, extensive move lists for the SF crew and so on… Tekken 6 with SF characters, I say.
And of course, it goes without saying that I hope the canon sequels to both SFIV and Tekken 6 are still proceeding full tilt with development apart from these Just For Fun projects.
Anyway, this was a nice little treat for fight fans this year, till next time we hear about this Crossover Crisis, let’s keep our hopes high.
