Gametrailers’ Tekken 6 Review

With some customizations costing in the millions, the ‘Try before you Buy’ Customization Shop is one of the best additions to Tekken 6 console.

Namco-Bandai’s latest and greatest gets the video review treatment over at Gametrailers. The mostly-positive review cites the game as a ‘If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it’ kind of thing. Good points include the accessible yet deep gameplay and variety of modes. Once again, Scenario Campaign is hit, as well as remarks saying that the fighting system is ‘stiff’ and odd-looking with fighters keeping their opponents in the air by hitting their ankles… dude… every fighting game has silly, over-the-top juggles, including VF and SF. What is it with these weird double standards?

Anyway, decent score and nice footage on the review anyway. Check it out here.

As for MY review, I’ll have something up by next week or so… planning to do something special aside from the usual written review. We’ll see. Stay tuned! For now though… gotta get back to playing.

  4. i know fighting games aren’t realistic how thick is this guy this game has a devil, ogre and a monster comprised of the two and a possesed great grandfather i just wanna strangle these guys

  5. Whatever they say,Tekken 6 is an awesome game! I love that game 🙂

  7. just been looking on ign uk and it seems that there are some secret maps to be found in the SC mode here is the link

  8. are there really different routes you can unlock in the SC like harada said, please answer

    • You can basically go through the stages as you see fit, and different characters yield different dialogue between fighters depending on their relationships, as far as I know. So there is replay value in spades and incentive to play through with all fighters- that’s aside from the fact that SC is the easiest and fastest way to earn money. Stuff is expensive…

For me though, the story elements and the actual action in SC is fun- I actually love playing it. Maybe that’s just me. ^__^

  9. I agree with their review. What’s that about double standards? Did they say that other fighting games weren’t similarly ridiculous with the foot punching air-suck-upping? That was a rhetorical question, because they didn’t. It’s just an opinion, and one which i happen to agree with. Like they say, basically it’s a good game, but it’s not perfect. I don’t think there’s much point in game reviews if they only tell you what’s good about something.

hey lonegamer, some people are wondering what happen to nina in jins ending, because its vice versa in the scenario campaign, jin takes azazel to the hole while nina heads to the helicopter, please answer

? has any one tried online mode yet Ive herd varying reports some say its ok with a few minor issues other say its to laggy any one here have any experience with it but ive herd rumor of a patch to fix all this up to be released soon

    • There is lag in the online play- you can’t deny that. It’s playable but very laggy, and you can forget doing your pinpoint combos since the lag throws off your timing. Hopefully they fix this up soon.
