Official Xbox Magazine UK Reviews Tekken 6
Another mainstream gaming magazine gives Tekken 6 it’s judgement. This time it’s across the pond in the UK, from the Official Xbox Magazine. Via it’s online magazine, OXM gives Namco-Bandai’s latest a pretty spiffy 9 out of 10.
Citing the game as something for ‘graphic whores and fighting fans’ (yep, matches me), OXM rounds up T6’s good points as being very, very easy to play, looks absolutely stunning, has plenty of extras to unlock, finally has online play and lastly, will appeal to pretty much anyone. No major flaws were mentioned, though they did find the new Scenario Campaign a bit silly, but enjoyed it regardless, mentioning that the new ‘Streets of Rage-style’ brawler mode’s elements gave a distinct feeling that the developers had fun working on it.
As a result, it’s what they call The Most Complete Fighting Game Available, even up-ending other genre entries like Virtua Fighter 5 (too complex and demanding), Soulcalibur IV (few online options) and MK vs DC Universe (clunky). Check out the full review (and the rest of the latest OXM E-Magazine) here. Thanks to our sharp-eyed UK poster Bob for pointing us to this excellent review.
Tekken 6 is out on PS3 and Xbox360 this Oct. 27 in the US, and Oct. 29 and 30 in Japan and Europe, respectively.
