Penny Arcade Character in Tekken 6!
The Cardboard Tube Samurai joins the Tekken crew?
Namco-Bandai’s official Tekken 6 Twitter, Tekkenbob, dropped a bombshell this weekend with this single screenshot showing a character in Tekken 6 looking all the world like The Cardboard Tube Samurai from Penny Arcade. The CTS is the ‘alter-ego’ of Gabe, one of the popular game-based comic’s main characters.
However, it’s pretty much now known that this isn’t an actual new fighter, but rather just a customization or alternate costume for an existing character, most probably Yoshimitsu. So, what does this all mean, taking into consideration the recent news of CLAMP and other manga artists contribuing and designing costumes for the home console release? Will there be even more alternate outfits for the fighters based on other franchise characters revealed? Will we finally find out what the Big Surprise is being hinted at by Tekkenbob and SD-Tekken? WHAT IS THE MEANING OF LIFE???
All will supposedly be made clear this Monday, June 22. For now though…. what the heck. Speculate!!! Heheh…

I’m nearly positive that its Yoshimitsu, they just replaced his swords with cardboard sticks. And his hands look robotic. I hope this means a huge more amount of Customizations.

Maybe Penny Arcade was one of the comic book artist that had a chance to do an extra costume for a character.

Yeah, everyone’s pretty much accepted this is a new costume for Yoshi. The question now is, what does it mean? I hardly think that having a Penny Arcade cameo is anything ‘awesome’. Will there be more cameo alts in the game? What will be revealed this week…? Oooohh… Hehehe.
