Famitsu of Japan previews Tekken 6
Lars’ story unfolds in Scenario Campaign mode.
Namco-Bandai’s hype machine continues! Famitsu.com just posted a preview of Tekken 6 for consoles, and as usual it includes stuff we already know- such as the new Rage Mode, the biggest roster so far of fighters in the series, yada-yada-yada. Three of the newbie fighters in Tekken 6.0 get bios posted: Bob is 27 years old and a freestyle karate expert who underwent a radical body change to gain both speed and power. 24-year old Zafina is a member of an ancient assassin sect off to stop an evil prophecy from coming to pass, while 19-year old Leo is searching for justice in the Tekken tournament.
Robots, kangaroos, bears… oh, my!
The Scenario Campaign mode once again takes focus, and according to the article much of the Tekken 6 storyline to be revealed in the mode will be from the viewpoint of new fighter Lars Alexandersson, the Zaibatsu defector who is secretly Heihachi Mishima’s illegitimate son. The article goes on to talk about how you can use weapons, find items, destroy stuff, yada-yada…
The PSP version is still looking pretty good.
One new screenshot from the PSP version is doled out, and it looks… well, it looks like Tekken 6. Supposedly the handheld version will still be on par with the big boy console games… what differences will it’s equivalent to the Scenario Mode have from the console modes? We’ll just have to wait and see.

I’m pretty certain the PSP version is gonna kick ass. I’m basing this solely off DR’s awesomeness pretty much though. But Namco’s game ports are always without peer anyway. Dude, just the fact that you’re walking around with the hottest arcade fighter ever in your pocket blows the mind. ^_^

I agree, DR was the best portable iteration of Tekken…well it was the only one, and it was brilliant. But I was thinking that since Tekken 6 will show at EVO 09, will that mean we will get it earlier than expected?? Oh and I pre-ordered Tekken 6 at my local game store today! ^^
P.S-How do I change my avatar?
