Tekken 6 Blow-out at Namco-Bandai Gamer’s Day

The new Tekken 6 Editor’s Day 09 Trailer is full of in-game action.

HEY! If you all thought that yesterday, the with the announcement of the PSP versions of Tekken 6 and Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny, was cool… well, today will blow your mind. Apparently Namco-Bandai just held an Editor’s Day 09 event in San Francisco featuring all their upcoming games, and that pretty much laid out a ton of media on their much-anticipated console version of Tekken 6. A new trailer with tons of in-game action as well as an interview with Katsuhiro Harada updating all on the current progress of the console development is online at Gametrailers, Gamespot, IGN and 1Up.

Apparently the console versions are just over 50 percent complete, with most work at present involving console additions and content. Playable versions of the home ports were present at the event, though only with Jin, Kazuya, Bob and Zafina playable. For the most part, the info isn’t anything serious fans of Tekken 6 don’t already know- Bound, Rage, Customizations, Item Moves… it’s all old news there, but at least the ‘mainstream’ gaming press seems finally warming up to what is, really, one of the biggest releases (and certainly the most high profile fighting game) set for later this year.

But if you thought today was hot, wait till next month’s E3 Expo! An even more complete version of Tekken with more info should be up and running then.

Tekken 6 is slated for the PS3, Xbox360 and PSP this Fall 2009. More on this as we freakin’ get it. WOOHOO!
