Famitsu of Japan gives MGS4…

… a 40/40.

Previously, titles that have received Perfect Scores from this gaming mag, considered the Gamers’ Bible in Japan, include The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Soulcalibur, Vagrant Story, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, Nintendogs, Final Fantasy XII and Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots is the first PS3 game to get this double thumbs-up recommendation from the mag.

Wow. That’s a nice pat on the back for Hideo Kojima and company given the somewhat less-than-you’d-expect scores from sources like EDGE and Eurogamer. It certainly doesn’t hurt for me, as I am right now eating, sleeping and breathing MGS4. I WANT THIS GAME NOW.

This kinda lessens the sting of having purchased Ninja Gaiden 2 (which I am losing interest in even before opening the box). Well, GTA IV looks awesome in any case, so I should give that a play while I wait for Old Snake to arrive sometime next week.

Doesn’t giving a 10 to Nintendogs hurt their credibility as a “Gamers’ Bible” just a LITTLE bit? šŸ˜‰

  2. Nope it doesn’t, and that’s the truth. šŸ™‚
