Tekken Live-action Movie Update

SD-Tekken just posted an update and first pics of the live-action Tekken movie, slated to be released in 2009. The pics include the first look at Marshall Law in costume, care of MMA star Cung Le (who posted the pics on his MySpace page). Other images include a lot of set pics and a look at Jin Kazama (Jonathan Foo).

So far, what do we know? Well, the movie seems to be set within the time of Tekken 6, given that the cast includes Miguel Caballero Rojo. Apparently the movie has wrapped filming and is presently in post production. Though I hope the home version of Tekken 6 gets released before next year, it is looking logical that the PS3 game will be released alongside the theatrical adaptation. Hope not… fighting game movies have NOT had a good track record, so if I were Namco I wouldn’t put all my eggs in the same basket… some may be spoiled.

Anyway, check out SD-Tekken’s article here.

Tekken live action film is now made and in post production so I’m wasn’t very happy with the director with the ideas and its meant to start from the beginning with Tekken 1,well I’ll just have to see it for myself.
Soul Calibur was going to the big screen with Sammo Hung to direct the film and it didn’t barefoot so if the European and Japanese filmmakers should work together on the project,I think that Tsui Hark should direct Soul Calibur with Luc Besson to produce the movie and there will be some more filmmakers to come.
Namco will work out the movie project on Soul Calibur in the future.
    Thank You.

  2. doesnt make sense tho, starting from tekken 1 and still have Steve Fox from tekken 4, wanna definitly see this thing played out.

already can tell it will be better than Dragonball haha.
