More Metal Gear Confirmed

According to Ryan Peyton of Konami, the Metal Gear franchise won’t end with Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. While MGS4 certainly will be the end of the saga of Solid Snake, the series will live on in some form or another. Snake’s story, all the weirdness and the loose ends, was a big burden on series’ creator Hideo Kojima, and now he is able to finally move on after giving his hero a fitting end which should give fans good closure.

So what happens after? Metal Gear: Snake’s Legacy? Metal Gear: Rat Patrol Chronicles? Metal Gear: Solid Sasaki? Who knows. But I think it’s a good thing that the universe will continue. It’s just too cool a place to lay to rest forever.
